You just never know...

As I got out of Bible Study today, I noticed that Brian had called several times. It is usually very important for him to call several times in a row. Well...he wanted to inform me that my readership is a little larger than I thought. I knew I had about 3-5 faithful readers...(thanks Adam and Steph!) but who would have guessed that Mr. Jeff Wignall (yes...the AUTHOR of the book I was supposed to be reading while taking care of our child, cleaning the house, and cooking dinner, etc...!!) was reading it, too! He just so happened to Google search himself on the same day that I posted! How funny is that! I was scolded by the author of the book. Mr. Wignall...just in case you come back...I am going to read your book. I want to learn about photography and our new camera...that just wasn't the day! I would gladly take a lesson...if you are ever in Nashville!

A little of this and a little of that...

1. The Ryder Cup was AWESOME!! It was the most fun sporting event I have ever been to! We had such a good time with Brian's grandparents. I now have a new "little crush" on Paul Azinger! Ha Ha! His wife gave me a high-five as they were passing by in the golf cart. I was on Sport's Center several times!

2. Merry Christmas to us! Brian bought our Christmas present to each other on Monday night...A Canon Rebel! It is awesome. I have had such a good time taking pictures of Ellie and Charley. I have already been scolded because I haven't read the new book...Exposure...Develop your digital photography talent by Jeff Wignall. Ellie had a terrible afternoon yesterday. (She SCREAMED for 3 1/2 hours straight!!) Brian really wanted to do Chapter 1 in this book and couldn't understand why this wasn't interesting to me! (example: I photographed these lobster floats on a wharf in Maine on a slightly overcast day with very even lighting. Taken with a compact digital camera and exposed for 1/70 second at f/6.7, ISO 200, on a tripod.) All I wanted to do was stare at the television and not think about a thing! I guess I better get off this computer and work through Chapter 2. I would hate for the camera to be taken away from me after just two days! Thanks Brian for such an awesome present!

3. The White's are coming this weekend! I can't wait to see Amanda, Calvin and Addie this weekend. Ellie and Addie like to duke it it should be tons of fun. I am sure I will have lots of pictures to post on Sunday!

I pity the fool...

I am already praying for the man that decides he wants to marry Ellie! She LOVES jewelry and shoes. We went all over town today wearing three necklaces and 5 bracelets! People were just shaking their heads as she would pass by them...

We have been in Louisville, KY this week at the Ryder Cup. We have been having a blast. These are some pictures from the opening ceremonies on Thursday. Some background about these pictures, first. We arrived late to the opening ceremonies, were about 30,000 people from the stage, and could not see anything. Carrie Beth happened to look to the left and there were both teams preparing to walk through the crowd to the stage! We took several pictures and have attached a few. Notice Anthony Kim's sunglasses; they are classics and I believe my parents have a pair in their "sunglasses ziplock" at home (Adam, you know what I am talking about).

Now, as to the last picture included below. Carrie Beth and I saw this guy and IMMEDIATELY thought of ...Drew Harris. Drew, you have GOT to get one of these backpack beer things! You would be the most popular guy in class, I College Station.

After we got back from the opening ceremonies, CB and I noticed that Rascall Flatts and Taylor Swift were playing at Freedom Hall (aka enemy territory). So, we bought tickets, dropped our baggage off (Meemaw and Pa) and went back to the concert. Much easier to take an impromptu trip without Elle! The concert was fun but we really missed our Belle! Mommy and Daddy love you Ellie!
